About Me

I absolutely love being an educator! My career has always pointed me toward teaching, even when I explored other paths. I am drawn to the magic of crafting meaningful, interactive learning experiences. As a lifelong learner, I thrive on inspiring others and meeting learners where they are to help them grow. Whether teaching elementary students in challenging environments or now coaching adult educators as an Instructional Technology Specialist, I’ve witnessed the transformative power of engaging, effective education.

However, I am deeply concerned about the direction of education today. Despite our hard work, we’re not adequately preparing students or educators for the rapidly evolving future. With technology transforming the workforce—more than a billion jobs expected to change in the next decade—our approach to teaching and learning must adapt. Yet, we continue practices that drain educators’ time, hinder impactful teaching, and yield declining results. Blaming the pandemic for ongoing challenges misses the point: our system isn’t working.

It’s time to disrupt education. We need to reevaluate what we teach, how we teach it, and how we measure success. We must prepare students for a world where lifelong learning and adaptability are essential. My hope is to inspire other passionate educators to join in this mission for meaningful change. Together, we can reimagine education for a brighter future.
